Hi, I'm Sarah.

Hi, I'm Sarah.

The Original Overnight Trainer

As far back as I can remember, I've been obsessed with helping people.

Early in my career, this manifested as a successful career in sales helping people find their new homes. Learning about my clients allowed me to tailor my sales approach to make sure I found the best housing solution for them. Nothing lit me up more than walking them into their new home to make new adventures and memories.

This obsession around helping people grew even more as I took on a management role. I found myself pouring into my team and their development. I'd create handouts, manuals, and process documents, as well as shadow and rotational programs for my team. I started to realize the same feeling I once had when showing someone to their new home was the same feeling I was having around training my team.

It wasn't until I sat in my first leadership development class that it all clicked for me. Watching the facilitator guide us through a learning experience around leadership was career- awakening for me. I couldn't believe someone's job was to teach subjects like this in a corporate setting. After the session was over, I approached the trainer and the Director of Learning, and asked them how I could become a trainer. They look at each other, looked at me, and offered me a systems trainer role on the spot.

Which is how I became a trainer...overnight.

Without any background, education, or experience in corporate Learning and Development, I landed that first role based purely on my transferable skills. Less than 2 years after landing my first L&D role, I was overseeing L&D as the Director of Corporate Training for an organization of over 2,500 people. Since then, I've led the learning function at 4 organizations, created hundreds of learning programs, hired 100+ people, and have served over 10,000 learners.

More than a decade after landing my first L&D job, I am here to help you find, land, love, and grow in yours.
