I am an experienced educator with a passion for clear, concise, and effective communication in writing. When I was a recent college graduate, I trained as a writing tutor and worked in a high-volume, drop-in writing tutoring center for university students.
Professionally, I worked in higher education for about 7 years where I mentored and coached undergraduate students in planning their academics. Just over a year ago, I transitioned into a career in Learning & Development. I now work in corporate training for an international company, with a focus on employee onboarding.
In 2022, I established my resume writing business, Strong Edits. I help professionals across industries to express themselves clearly in writing and frame their professional skills. I particularly enjoy working with clients who are transitioning from one industry to another because I get to help them discover their transferrable skills for their new career path.
Sarah Cannistra is an L&D Career, Executive and Business coach, and the founder of The Overnight Trainer, a coaching practice that helps purpose-driven people find, land, create, grow, and LOVE the L&D career of their dreams, so that they can live a life of fulfillment, inspiration, and freedom. With over a decade of experience in the L&D field, Sarah has held roles such as Systems & Corporate Trainer, Instructional Designer, Training Manager, Director of Training, and Head of Learning. Having led the learning function 4x, Sarah utilizes her past experience as a modern learning leader and hiring manager to coach and consult her clients to ultimate career success.
